Julie’s Way of Holding

Community support has always been Julie’s first language. Growing up the youngest of four in the Bay Area, she learned early what it means to be present for the people around her, and that calling has never left her.

As a mother of three, Julie knows firsthand the magnitude of the transformation that pregnancy and birth invite. She understands, from the inside out, how much care is needed during this sacred season, and how life-changing it is to feel genuinely supported. Her own journey through motherhood didn’t just change her; it tethered her to a renewed sense of purpose and a devotion to this work that she carries into every client relationship.

Culturally sensitive and inclusive by nature, Julie welcomes all families with equal warmth and respect. She understands that care must honor the whole person, not just the clinical picture, but the human one.

Over the past five years, Julie has supported families through preconception, pregnancy, birth, the postpartum window, infant feeding, and even the tender experience of pregnancy loss. She is intentional, curious, and deeply committed to going beyond the surface, meeting each family exactly where they are.

Julie walks into every birth space, every postpartum home, every difficult conversation with her whole self. She believes in going deep, not skimming the surface, but truly meeting the families in her care in the fullness of their experience.

Working with Julie

Our care works through Companionship: one ongoing relationship with our practice, shaped to what you’re carrying and held across the time you need to be carried. Julie holds pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with particular depth, and as a Certified Lactation Educator she brings specialized feeding and lactation support to the families she walks with.

If her way of holding resonates, name her in your inquiry. We’ll find the right fit together during consultation.

Being held, literally and figuratively, is one of the most profound gifts we can offer one another.

She's walked alongside families for five years with presence, warmth, and the deep belief that every birthing person deserves to feel held.

  • Julie was a great source of support with my breastfeeding journey. She shared lots of resources and advice, and gave me the help and encouragement I needed. We will never forget how she joined us at the hospital after birth and gave me and husband some much needed rest time while she took care of our baby. In postpartum she continued to be a great resource with navigating newborn world all the way to 6 months.
