Pregnancy and birth doula support.
For those preparing to birth and wanting continuous support through labor and delivery. This offering includes prenatal visits for birth preparation and planning, on-call support as your due date approaches, continuous labor support with comfort measures and advocacy, and a postpartum follow-up.
Support may include
- Prenatal education, values-aligned birth preferences & advocacy skills
- Biomechanics & positioning, labor rehearsal, partner preparation
- Comfort measures: counter-pressure, movement, breath, environment setup
- Non-clinical guidance navigating home, birth center, or hospital processes
- Immediate postpartum settling, newborn soothing & feeding initiation support
- Postpartum recovery education & community referrals (IBCLC, pelvic floor, and more)
How it takes shape
Companionship begins with an inquiry and a free consultation, held online. From there, the shape is built with you: sessions virtual or in person, in a rhythm that fits your season, with between-session support, curated resources, and care-team coordination woven in as the work asks for them. Some companionships are brief; some walk with you for a long while. It grows with you either way.
Because birth asks for commitments you can count on, birth companionship also includes:
- Support creating your birth preferences
- Postpartum planning support
- 24/7 on-call support starting at 37 weeks
- Continuous in-person attendance at birth, with backup
- Birth debrief and postpartum sessions, with the number shaped together, or set by your benefit when using insurance
