For those navigating miscarriage, stillbirth, TFMR, or pregnancy loss. This offering provides tender companionship through one of life’s most painful thresholds, presence during the physical process if desired, emotional support, informational guidance, and ritual for honoring your loss.
Support may include
- Options education and decision support
- Planning for comfort, logistics, and support roles at home or clinic
- Non-clinical comfort measures before/during/after the loss
- Grief support, story-holding, ritual/ceremony & meaning-making
- Aftercare education (what to expect physically/emotionally; when to seek care)
- Lactation after loss information & referral pathway
- Partner/sibling support and community/resource navigation
- Referrals to hotlines, support groups, therapists, and local practitioners
How it takes shape
Companionship begins with an inquiry and a free consultation, held online. From there, the shape is built with you: sessions virtual or in person, in a rhythm that fits your season, with between-session support, curated resources, and care-team coordination woven in as the work asks for them. Some companionships are brief; some walk with you for a long while. It grows with you either way.

Additional support: JJ, Chay, and Julie also offer no-cost miscarriage/loss doula care through Doula For The People, including 8 hours of post-abortion support, meal delivery, and recovery resources for residents of San Francisco, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties.
